José Quevedo ‘Bolita’
Caótico
How do you celebrate 30 years on stage as a musician? With music, of course! Guitarist José Quevedo “Bolita” gives himself and his audience a wonderful birthday present: a Flamenco Big Band, with the unmistakable “soniquete”, the swing from his hometown of Jerez de la Frontera, the old flamenco breeding ground. And better still: it is a traveling big band, taking on a different shape in each city, incorporating local musicians and influences. For the Flamenco Biennial he has invited eight brass players from the Bernard van Rossum Big Band, including the band leader/saxophonist himself, for a cracking musical exchange with himself and his three musical brothers Paquito González (percussion), Pablo Martín Caminero (bass) and singer El Londro. This promises to be quite an (improv) party!
