Niño de Elche
Mausoleo Gitano

Niño de Elche’s devilish flamenco art
Niño de Elche is far more than a flamenco singer: he is a boundary-pushing performer who blends flamenco with rap, jazz, poetry and electronics. He has mastered the classical flamenco repertoire down to its core, and transforms it in provocative performances and politically charged texts, a true ‘flamenco cowboy’ with both tenderness and ferocity.
In his latest project, Mausoleo Gitano, Niño de Elche revisits the legacy of legendary gypsy singer Manuel Torre (1880-1933). He reinterprets the tradition in his own uncompromising style, accompanied by flamenco guitarist Emilio Caracafé. De Elche has previously collaborated with dancers such as Rocío Molina and Israel Galván, and theatre maker Angélica Liddell.
