VIII Flamenco Biënnale Nederland 2021 Part 2: Save the Date!
From 7-29 November 2021, FBN will descend LIVE on ten Dutch and Belgian cities. Following the success of FBN Part 1, our online adventure in January/February, we may have been quiet, but we’ve been very busy! We’ve been working hard to get the international cream of flamenco – still with uncertain prospects - to come to the Netherlands after all.
This memorable eighth edition of the festival became a two-part affair thanks to Covid-19. We broadcast Part 1 on a livestream earlier this year and we’re looking forward to seeing and hearing a number of artists from the online festival (a)live & kicking in Part 2! You can see them, hear them and feel their energy in a range of theatres all through November. To name but a few of the highlights: Rocío Molina with Al Fondo Riela, Ana Morales with On the Tightrope and Israel Galván with his very own percussive interpretation of Stravinsky’s masterpiece The Rite of Spring.
