Matilde Corrales González, artistically known as Matilde Coral, is a flamenco dancer who inherited her style from Pastora Imperio and knew how to codify and express her knowledge by establishing the Sevillian school of dancing.
Her style is utterly feminine, sensual like Sevilla itself with “hands like doves”, caressing the air. Since 1967 Matilde Coral has been teaching her style of dancing at her own academy located in Triana, once a gypsy quarter full of blacksmiths and basket weavers, where she was born.
