Félix Vázquez
Colección de Retratos

Since 2012, photographer, documentary maker and sound technician Félix Vázquez (1977) has made a series of video dance portraits of contemporary flamenco dancers/choreographers, varying in length from 30 seconds to 6 minutes.
Often filmed in spaces that are part of the everyday dance practice, like rehearsal rooms, hotels, airports and train stations, these short films show young dancers and creators at work in unsettling situations. The collection now comprises 16 portraits with a total length of the 60 minutes, the special festival creation Bagatelles with dancer Ana Morales and sound artist Enrique Tomás. During this edition, too, Vázquez will make short surprising dance films in situ, in collaboration with the artists that are present.
