United in an exciting Flamenco Improlab, four dancers, a guitarist and a DJ will put up a flamenco performance that is created in the moment, constructed from improvisations in dance and music. Without any premeditation, individually or together the dancers enter into a conversation with themselves, Arturo Ramón’s flamenco guitar, DJ Philippona’s looped grooves, but above all with the moment. ‘It will be a journey, within themselves and with the other, in response to the (flamenco) music and the audience, that happens in the moment. It is a process of setting out, returning home… and setting out again,’ says Janine Keijzer ‘La Nina’, who developed the project specially for the festival.

La Fábrica’ is a new Dutch flamenco collective who are looking for new flamenco challenges with buckets of swing. For this show, they have invited two Spanish guests: pianist Carlos Ema and artist Patricio Hidalgo. In these performances, this ‘flamenco action painter’ will commit his impressions live to canvas and to the screen in a spectacular dialogue of dance, guitar, song, piano, brushes and ink! La Fábrica is an initiative of Expeditie Flamenco in cooperation Los Primos del Norte and pianist Carlos Ema.
