Leonor Leal – op 9 november te zien in de OBA met haar voorstelling Divertimento (zie onderaan deze pagina bij ‘Bekijk ook’) – geeft deze editie twee dansworkshops voor midden- en gevorderd niveau in Eindhoven en Groningen. Leonor is een geliefd en inspirerend lerares om de bezieling die ze in haar lessen legt en haar aanstekelijke dansenergie. In deze intensieve workshops ga je aan de slag met diverse flamencostijlen.

Leonor Leal

Choreographer and dancer Leonor Leal (Jerez de la Frontera, 1980) likes to venture outside of flamenco. She made a name for herself as a versatile and curious flamenco dance maker who enjoys pushing her boundaries.

In her lecture Divertimento, Leonor submerges herself in the rich world of thoughts and dance of the multifaceted artist (and vegetarian) Vicente Escudero: his dance, his paintings, his writing. She follows the lines he drew with his body as well as with his paint brush and investigates the effect they have on her own dance. Divertimento is a danced biography of Escudero, avant-gardist by nature and traditionalist out of necessity.
